I’ll be at A Romantic Rendezvous author signing event in Perth on Sunday 31st March with my books thanks to our amazing host: Australian Romance Readers Association who strongly highlight romance authors and readers everywhere and for which we thank them.

There are 16 authors attending the Perth event and I know most if not all. We've already got a roomful of readers coming but if you'd like to join us - there's still time (and room).

I’ve written this blog post on how I know these authors – or don’t yet know them – and where we met and how we met.

It was fascinating going back to 2013 in some instances – huge memories came to the fore when writing this.

I hope you enjoy the post!

If you haven’t got your ticket for A Romantic Rendezvous in Perth (similar events also being held in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane with many other authors) there’s still time, and for Perth they’re only $15 for an all afternoon event.

You can book your ticket here: https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=433758&

DETAILS FOR THE PERTH EVENT: Sunday 31st March 1.30pm – 5pm / Lathlain Function Centre / 16 authors all looking forward to meeting you, including me.

Here’s what I know about these writers

Celeste Bradley - New York Times Bestselling Author and guest attendee all the way from the USA. I’m very much looking forward to meeting Celeste.

Writes: Regency! I love regency romances.

Website
Keri Arthur – New York Times Bestselling Author and guest attendee all the way from Melbourne (homegrown bestseller!). Keri is a smart lady, wonderful writer, and an excellent speaker. Very much looking forward to saying G’day again although she might not remember I said G’day once before after I heard her talk at a conference a couple of years ago.

Writes: Paranormal and Urban fantasy romance

Website
Claire Boston – I’ve known Claire since 2013 when we were part of the event organising team for the Romance Writers of Australia annual conference in Perth (it happened in Fremantle and we had a ball!).

Writes: contemporary romance exploring real life issues on the way to happily-ever-afters

Website
Demelza Carlton – I met Demelza one Sunday at the utterly charming arty gift shop and emporium Just Add Passion in Stoneville, WA where a few writers were showcasing their books. Demelza is the loveliest of ladies! Met her again at West Coast Fiction Festival last November and looking forward to our third in-person meet up.

Writes: medieval fairy tales, mermaid stories, island resort romances and much more

Website
J.O Mantel – We haven’t met but I’m looking forward to saying hi. He’s coming all the way from his quiet rural retreat in Victoria.

Writes: contemporary romance, erotic romance

Facebook

Juanita Kees – a writing comrade from way back when (2012 - just before I was published and Juanita had already been published with her first book). Juanita has the highest regard for firefighters everywhere and is a lover of Dachshunds.

Writes: Australian rural suspense and small-town USA fiction

Website
Laura N Andrews – Laura was born in Canada (the place I long to visit) but she’s been in Australia since she was 3 years old and lives in Perth. Looking forward to meeting her!

Writes: sexy, sweet, gay, BDSM romance

Website
Leah Ashton – another comrade from the Romance Writers of Australia 2013 Perth conference event organisers. 2013 was a good year all round (the year I was first published for a start plus 13 is my lucky number). Leah is a Romance Writers of America RITA award winning author and I’ve seen and touched the statuette – it’s utterly beautiful.

Writes: contemporary romance with Mills and Boon and more recently the contemporary WASP Team series with book #1 Undaunted due out this March

Website
Lily Malone – one more writing comrade from 2013, this time from just after I was published. Lives in WA in Cowaramup (try saying Cowaramup fast…). Lily knows a lot about wine because she spent a number of years writing about it for a living.

Writes: contemporary rural romance and contemporary romantic-comedy cosy mysteries

Website
Rachael Johns – yet another Australian Romance Writers of Australia 2013 conference event organiser (there were quite a few of us! It was an awesome event. Not that I’m saying that because I was involved in making it happen or anything…)

Writes: contemporary rural romance and contemporary women’s fiction (or #LifeLit – a term coined by Rachael)

Website
Renae Kaye – we haven’t met but we’re about to!

Writes: sometimes whacky, sometimes naughty but always amusing M/M romance and also M/F romance as Elena Eames

Website
Sasha Wasley – we’re sharing a table so let’s hope we don’t have an argument before the big day or it could be awkward (don’t worry – chances are slim – she’s gorgeous and has the most wonderful smile ever). We first met for coffee a couple of years ago because we lived not too far away from each other. We then shared a bottle of champagne one night at her place (it might have been one-and-a-half bottles…ahem). We then worked together on the West Coast Fiction Festival which happened last November, and now Sasha is my go-to person for just being a very lovely, good human being.

Writes: rural fiction of love, families and Australian society as Sasha Wasley and paranormal, mystery and romance as S.D. Wasley

Website
Shona Husk – I met Shona at a café in Northbridge, Perth in 2014 or it might have been late 2013 and we’ve met up a few times since then at writer’s events. I never recognise her immediately because she keeps changing her hairstyle (she knows this so is probably prepared for my blank look - but – this time I’m going to be prepared!)

Writes: contemporary, paranormal, fantasy and sci-fi. Sensual or scorching romances about goblins, fairies, rock stars, and aliens

Website
Susanna Rogers – We met a few times in the Perth writer’s arena or at writer’s coffee catch-ups in 2013 and 2014 and I’m looking forward to seeing Susanna again after so long.

Writes: rock star romances plus young adult books empowering girls around the globe with stories about kick butt heroines

Website
Tee Smith – we met for the first time at the West Coast Fiction Festival last November so it’s wonderful to get the opportunity to meet her again so soon. She’s lovely!

Writes: romantic suspense
